Help Support Tiger's Recovery!

Meet Tiger: a beautiful brindle boy who came to us from Animal Care Centers of NYC as an owner surrender during Hurricane Sandy.

Not long after arriving into his foster home, we noticed Tiger was limping on his right leg. To make sure he was as comfortable as possible, Tiger’s foster cared for him while he was on crate rest and pain medication to ease any inflammation.

When it was clear that Tiger wasn't making any improvements, we worked with Firefly Vet to perform an x-ray on his leg. After determining that his limp is likely caused by a torn ligament or even a neurological issue, we turned to The Animal Medical Center to do further testing: their dedicated team checked Tiger for an ACL tear, tested fluid from his knee and ankle joints, ran blood tests, and performed an abdominal ultrasound.

It wasn't until Tiger went in for an MRI that we finally found a potential cause for his pain: the initial reports indicate that Tiger has suffered trauma from an old injury or has fluid leaking from his spine. Despite the discomfort Tiger is feeling, his smile has never left his face, and his tail seems to be always wagging!

In times like these, our team at Muddy Paws is working extra hard to match every pup in our care with their forever family. Unfortunately, for pups like Tiger, we must also navigate vet visits and costly procedures before they can have their chance at finding a forever home. Even with a generous rescue discount, the total cost of medical care for Tiger has already exceeded $3,000.

We're now eagerly awaiting the vet's final results before we can decide the best next step in Tiger's treatment to help him feel better. Please donate here to help us give Tiger the medical care he needs to recover as quickly as possible. Our goal is to replenish our medical funds as much as possible, and gifts of all sizes make a big difference!
