11/12/20 Operations Update
As we head into the holiday season, we wanted to share some important updates with our Muddy Paws Pack!
In-person adoption events are still on hold due to COVID-19 safety precautions. Our team is continuing adoptions through virtual meetings and scheduled hand-offs. At this time, we don't have a timeline for when in-person events will return. We miss seeing our Pack in person — as soon as we have new updates on our in-person events, we will share it on our website and social media.
We're happy to share that our team is placing as many dogs into forever homes as we were before COVID-19. A huge shoutout to our partner, PetSmart, for helping us create happy tails by lending their space during this time! We're still experiencing a high demand for adoptions. From the time an application is submitted, please allow up to 3-4 weeks for adoption applications to be approved.
We continue to see an increased interest in fostering. Still, as the holiday approaches, our pups—especially larger breeds and dogs who need experienced fosters—need your help. If you're already approved to foster with us, please continue to submit your availability. If you're not a foster with us yet, you're welcome to apply. Please note that the application process can take up to 1-2 weeks.
For the rest of 2020, we plan to welcome 100+ more dogs from our shelter and transport partners. We have a high number of approved fosters eager to welcome a dog. If you can be flexible with fostering preferences (e.g., larger sized dogs), it'll be easier to match you with a dog.
We're truly grateful for everyone's support and patience as we continue to navigate the challenges in 2020. Our team is keeping a close eye on the situations surrounding COVID-19 and, as we go into 2021, we're continually assessing our operations to ensure our Pack's safety.
